Congratulations to the Cordata clients recognized as Healthgrades’ Distinguished Hospitals for Clinical Excellence. Recipients are hospitals rated in the top 5% in the nation with the lowest risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates across at least 21 of 32 common conditions and procedures. Patients treated in hospitals receiving the Distinguished Hospitals for Clinical Excellence Award have, on average, a lower risk of dying than if they were treated in hospitals that did not receive the designation.

There are three categories of reports that cancer centers should review on a monthly basis: accreditation, operational and financial. Cancer centers with navigation programs often find it easiest to produce accreditation reports; however, operational and financial reports are just as critical to running a successful cancer program. Cancer centers that effectively create each of these reports will find it easier to: justify new hires, understand the inefficiencies within their programs and achieve necessary accreditations. All of this leads to quality patient care.

Blogs are a great way to learn about almost any subject. I particularly like the mix of facts and opinions that the best blogs offer. Blog posts are (usually) short, to the point, entertaining and tend to focus on new information and discoveries. They allow writers to report and reflect on information more quickly than almost any other medium. These characteristics of blogs also mean that they are more accessible for patients who wish to follow current trends and research findings.
