Business Development Director

Cordata Health Innovations, the nations leading provider of Community Care Navigation software to communities struggling to address the overdose, addiction and mental health crisis, is looking for a passionate, consultative and determined Business Development Director (BDD) to grow our Cordata Community Navigation Platform as a Service business in a defined territory.

The Business Development Director will join our passionate team focused on addressing one of the countries and our communities most dire problems, the addiction, overdose and mental health crisis. The BDD will play an instrumental role in establishing and cultivating deep relationships with prospective and current clients and will serve as a lead role in growing our business with State, County, Local governments, as well as government agencies focused on addressing this growing crisis.

The BDD is responsible for developing and managing a robust sale pipeline and closing new sales opportunities to meet or exceed defined sales quotas that contribute to Cordata’s global growth objectives. Reports to: SVP of Sales and Marketing
Location: Remote US

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Prospect, qualify and cultivate new leads and opportunities through networking, outreach, referrals, lead generation campaigns, webinars and events, industry conferences, and other sources; accurately maintain and share a current pipeline.
• Create and execute strategic and tactical account sales plans for penetrating prospective and current clients by identifying critical business challenges and positioning value-add solutions
• Create and manage RFP/RFI, pricing proposals, and deal strategy, upsell opportunities, and contracting activities.
• Work and consult with the internal team on client driven grant applications that lead to net new revenue for the company
• Navigate to senior executive decision makers to conduct thorough discovery process to unearth client’s or prospect’s strategic vision, business challenges, and position Cordata as partner achieve the vision and solve their business challenges
• Leverage existing relationships and contacts within the healthcare, law enforcement and public sector arena to build trusted partnerships at all levels of the prospective clients organization by defining, addressing, and executing winning short- and long-term strategic initiatives.
• Effectively utilize negotiation and closing techniques throughout the sales cycle, while leveraging strong decision making and problem-solving skills with both critical and analytical reasoning skill.
• Facilitate Cordata’s formal sales process, from daily prospecting for new opportunities, qualifying leads, delivery of winning presentations, successfully navigating the executive and senior decision makers to ensure broad support, to negotiating and closing contracts that are favorable to the company.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

• Minimum of seven (7) years of demonstrated experience selling & closing technology solutions within the healthcare provider, public health or public sector market
• A consistent track record of meeting and exceeding sales quota.
• A proven track record of closing net new sales opportunities and creating new client relationships.
• An intellectually curious growth mindset, and a passion for solving problems for clients and the company that drive positive results
• Expertise in business and IT strategies with an ability to craft business solutions to complex business problems.
• Experience with a formal solutions-selling methodology with strong consultative skills.
• Proven track record of establishing, cultivating and maintaining executive/C-suite relationships with ability to leverage existing network and those in position of influencers and champions, etc.
• Demonstrated success facilitating long sales cycle wins via virtual setting when required.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills, including strong virtual sales skills.
• Effective negotiation skills demonstrating value to close complex transactions on a deadline.
• Pedigree of integrity, credibility and trust for ethical conduct and corporate values.
• High degree of technology proficiency with CRM platforms HubSpot and Salesforce.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, computer science, business administration, or related field
• Ability to travel approximately 50% to prospective/current clients and relevant conferences in the US, representing and presenting the organization’s solutions.

• 50%+ Travel required

A successful candidate will be willing and able to work remotely with equipment provided by Cordata. When we re-open our offices, we expect that this role will involve travel within Ohio, and occasional out-of-state travel.
