Cincinnati, OH – February 21, 2018: Batesville, AR-based White River Medical Center (WRMC) has purchased the Cordata specialty care coordination platform for implementation in its Breast Care Center’s High Risk Clinic and Cancer Center. Specifically, the Cordata Oncology suite will aid WRMC’s nurse navigators in coordinating care and meeting the complex needs of people with cancer, and those whose risk for developing cancer is increased due to genetics or other risk factors.

The WRMC Breast Care Center’s High Risk Clinic takes a multidisciplinary approach to breast cancer risk management. The Center offers personalized cancer risk screening, counseling, prevention and risk monitoring. Cordata’s platform will streamline patients’ care pathways, management and ensure risk is centered on each individual patient’s needs.

The Cancer Center’s use of Cordata will support the care team’s coordination of the complexities of each patient case, regardless of cancer type or stage. Cordata also assists navigators as they support patients through each course of treatment, providing education, monitoring for possible side effects, that may require intervention or helping to find transportation to and from treatments. Cordata makes all of the cancer patient needs easier to visualize and manage.

“When navigators have to use Excel spreadsheets or other non-specialized methods for coordinating patients’ care, it’s easy to lose focus on patients and their immediate needs,” said Cam McClellan Teems, Oncology National Accounts Advisor for Cordata. “We are excited to partner with White River Medical Center and bring a more advanced toolset to facilitate high-quality coordination, better outcomes and a more personalized experience for patients and their families.”
