Cincinnati, OH – February 27, 2018: In 2006, the Cincinnati-based and world-renowned Mayfield Brain & Spine was the incubator for the first iteration of Cordata’s spine software product, as part of its internal information technology. The proprietary and innovative patient treatment process at Mayfield was called Priority Consult®. The unique, patient-centered process involved a deep and priority-driven look at a patient’s case immediately upon referral receipt. Later, this patient process was supported with the development of a software application by the same name, Priority Consult.

In 2014, Priority Consult became Cordata Healthcare Innovations, LLC. and the new software company went on to evolve the original spine-only application to further support other specialties such as Oncology, Pain, Osteoporosis, Addiction and Recovery, Bariatrics and much more. Mayfield Brain & Spine remained on its original platform that matched their well-honed process. In 2018, Mayfield has come back to its Cordata partners and is ready to adopt the leading-edge Cordata product that will allow them to support electronic outcome data gathering, such as ODI, NDI, etc and value-based care requirements. In addition, Mayfield will leverage Cordata to support its participation with the NeuroPoint Alliance Quality Outcomes Database (QOD) Spine program. The QOD serves as a nationwide prospective clinical registry for neurosurgical procedures and practice patterns. Its primary purpose is to track quality of care in common neurosurgical procedures.
